Konstantinos will present Datum Hawk that is designed to take maximum advantage of the engine instantaneous torque, in order to perform intelligent health assessment and diagnostics for marine engines in order to upkeep efficiency, and improve fuel consumption. In specific, Datum Hawk includes a high-sample rate torque meter along with engine digital twin which are employed in tandem to successfully identify engine degradation and malfunctioning conditions by reconstructing the in-cylinder pressure diagram for all cylinders and comparing it to a baseline-derived values from the engine’s digital twin. This offers flexibility and scalability of engine monitoring for not just a single vessel, but on a fleet-wide basis.
